Are You Going Green? : (?

Going green goes way beyond recycling as that is only one step in saving our planet. You have to take into consideration the pollution we as humans release from burning fossil fuels, and not to mention the tremendous amount of plastic we expel not only into the ocean but in landfills as well where it will sit for millions of years. So, sure recycling may be a good step in saving the planet but many other steps must be taken as well.

I feel the same way!

I am living in Singapore, and the people don't give a damn of recycle their trash.

They loves their plastic bag!

People look at me when I carry recycle bag.

Sometime human attitude make me sick!

I am doing everything i can to live green.

Here are what I am doing:

I give up meat,

I always have a recycle bag with me whenever I go out

I only buy thing when I really need it

I buy second hand item

I owned less than 5 pair of shoes

DON'T WASTE FOOD!

DON'T WASTE WATER!

Eat organic and whole food

Use organic daily products

Purchase item with less packaging

I recycle my trash

Educate friends around

Plant more tree

power off!

Use public transport.

Everybody can do their little part.

I think for those people who loves their children, their next generation, they should start changing their lifestyle and be responsible.

Our next generation doesn't deserve to live in a planet fill withe trash and with no diversity of wild animal and forest.

You're a sensitive soul aren't you? Relax.. things aren't that bad..

The planet isn't crumbling.. the water is running out (in fact if you believe global warming we're GAINING water), fish are not dying because of dirty water.. overfishing is another matter.. unfortunately recycling doesn't and never has really helped conserve resources.. it make or may not reduce garbage.. but we aren't running out of resources by any means.

As the first answer said going green does go far beyond recycling. I actually write a blog on living more green. http://thenewdaybringshope.blogspot.com/

I try to focus on changing your habits and household items to more eco friendly choices and companies. I do recycle, I also try to buy sustainable products from companies who are more eco friendly. If you read my post review on the GUD burts bees products you will find out more about the company!

Yes, I am going green. In some states if a homeowner has a wind powered generator and if the wind powered generator is hooked up to the electric utility grid then state law forces the electric company to pay full generation rate to the homeowner for all of the extra electric that they send into the electric grid. There is a direct example of a state law and its application at http://www.reasonablepower.com/1/MD_Net_... .

Green living is using alternative energy to reduce your carbon foot print. It’s a way of living that enhances your overall independence and well being. Living a sustainable life means embracing your symbiotic relationship with nature.

In other words, I know what you mean. And, yes I am going green.

I have been seeing trash EVERYWHERE where I live, and I am sad AND ANGRY! I feel like our planet is crumbling slowly. It is all thanks to us lazy pigs! : ( Our water in the sea is running out, and in some parts of the world, many drink water from the DIRT! The garbage gets blown into the sea, our water gets dirty, AND the fish die either out of choking on the FILTHY garbage or, they die due to th fact there water IS NOT clean! Also, the less water, the less food we have on OUR land ( not seafood ) plants need the sun AND WATER to grow into vegetables. AND our cows, sheep, chickens, etc. have less food to eat and less water to drink. Garbage also blows into the sea and many fish ( sea animals ) eat and choke on it. Garbage even affects our water, so we get LESS seafood AND LESS water! PLEASE recycle if you are not, you are just beeing little babies in our planet! But may god bless thoes who are recycling! : )
