90's = whatever types of things you saw Will Smith from Fresh Prince of Bel Air, or the people from 90210 wearing. Lots of baggy, high waisted, "hammer pants" types of things. 2000's = every single guy on the planet doing that thing with their hair where they gel it forward and spike it up at the front. Bootcut jeans with butterfly collar shirts and pointy/squared off dress shoes. Rise of the "metrosexual" (which is basically a gay guy who is willing to sleep with chicks). Think Ryan Seacrest from his early days of American Idol. 2010 = much the same as today. The metrosexual dies and the douchebag rises up due to the strong influence of UFC, Jersey Shore and numerous online articles about needing to have a bada*s image.
Some stuff isn't that much different. Some things we wear these days, people in the 90's wore, or it was inspired by that. Like overalls, boots, high waste pants, etc.
90s: lots of baggy sportswear, acid wash jeans and backwards baseball caps 2000s: bright neon colors, skinny jeans and scene haircuts 2010s: hipsters in drab charity shop clothes
