The Diamond was 1.15 carats and the frame was large enough to see even with the diamond covering it. The gold was 18 kt I believe. How would I go around finding it? Would a basic Big 5 metal detector work, or would I need something more sophisticated? Also, would I be able to find the gold backpiece with such a cheap metal detector?
