I use them for work. Mid range handle you can use either way. Because, there are times I need both hands free, and sometimes I prefer carrying the tote in my hand. I spent two hours searching for one for this reason, and one that zips but a snap shut was the best I could find. Better than nothing at all, though. Nothing more aggravating than sitting it on the seat, stopping the car, and the bag falls over dumping everything out. Now, I'll just seatbelt it in, I reckon. So, if you find one with a mid range handle, and zipper, you found a treasure! (Also, if it has many compartments).
A handle around this length would be good: If your handle is too long and you sometimes wear skirts/dresses, it'll make them ride up and just look plain horrible. I would know hahaha
