Are you getting new bedding? if you are, use what you select as the starting point; if not think about what you can work with from your current stuff. Start by thinking about colors you like and make you feel good. Greens, blues and lavender are calming, yellows, pinks and peaches are more cheerful.

Remember that super bring and trendy colors get old fast. Consider a paler or pastel version of a color in your bedding or even an accent wall in the bright color with the others more subtle.
