Sorry if I'm stating the 'bleedin' obvious.....but you 'do' know that the motor is not supposed to run 'all' the time. It will come on and off with the demands of the thermostat ?

Could be a short in the wiring, whether its in the fridge itself or in the home. My guess is the fridge, see if you have a warranty.
