My mom saw a mouse in the garage today? What can we do?

Put out a few mouse traps from walmart etc and put peanut butter on them. By morning you might have caught something. FYI they don't always die in a trap. And they also have traps where the mice go into and you just throw it away when caught. Best of luck. There is no real way to get rid of them inhumanly for good. One equals another in a day.

Snap traps. They're cheap (package of four, $3.00), humane, effective and reusable. What more could you need.

I bait with peanut butter smeared on the underside of the bait pedal. That way the mouse has to wiggle the trigger to get to his tasty tasty treat...BANG.

Kill the mice. They're very highly evolved to reproduce like there's no tomorrow, because in fact for many of them there isn't a tomorrow. They've evolved into the food chain position of "food" and have lots and lots of babies to make up for it. Start trapping immediately, get in front of the problem. And then when things warm up a bit, go around the entire foundation of the garage and look for - and plug! - every gap you find.

Good luck with it.

Those traps should do the trick. Check on it daily, and if the mouse is caught, pick it up by the trap and either put it somewhere outside or dispose of it with a trash bag.

Vermin pellets, available anywhere. Place in garage and wait. Keep cat and dog away from garage.

Kill them all.that is how I've ever goten rid of them.don't quote me but it could have been living there and trying to stay warm.if it gets bad put more traps up,if u get it good job

You have to call this Gentleman here or buy the same tool he has

So today my mom saw a mouse in the garage. This is the first time we ever saw them. We live in the suburbs (so not around fields) and right now its still very cold even though its march. My mom says there is only one, BUT i think there is NEVER one mouse. My brother is (VERY dumb) and is against killing the mouse. We do already a humane trap in our shed that my mom said she would set up tomorrow. We also have a cat in our house (and a HUGE dog). My cat is declawed (only in the front) and she is 14 years old. So if we just let her in the garage do you think it should scare away the mouse or mice? Do you think that the mouse will come into our house even if we have a cat and a dog? How can we get ride of these mice quickly before they become a problem?
