Yes, they get a %. It costs money to list, even if you don't sell, and they get a fee if you do. Three weeks is not very much time.

Since you need to do a local pick-up, I recommend using criagslist. it's free, and you'd be advertising to local people that way. Since you have a time crunch, just place a reasonable price "or best offer", but don't mention the deadline.

Have a plan for anything that doesn't sell, or no one is interested in, like donating to Habitat for Humanity, or something similar, since you'll need to move the stuff regardless of whether someone wants it within those three weeks.

I do not live in the USA storing items at my mom's house that is now for sale. I will need to sell some larger pieces of furnitures along with small items. If I photo and get on ebay within 2-3 days of arriving what is the best way to sell and get it out of my mothers house?

3. please help as I have a lot to do and not time to ship to buyer they need to handle that end.
