Even the thought of a rat would scare me.
The snakes that live in the UK are adders and grass snakes. They prefer to live in thick undergrowth. If one were to fall into a sewer, it would die. They are not big enough or strong enough to climb through British sanitary plumbing.
No snake will ever crawl out of your toilet. A rat might - that has happened - but not a snake.
What you should really be concerned about is leaping Pyrhanna fish.
Snakes cannot survive in the sewers for three basic reasons:
1. Sewers are unsanitary.
2. Sewers are too cold for snakes in the UK.
3. Snakes need air.
There are no sewer snakes in you toilet. There never will be.
I have got to look at that YouTube video. It sounds awesome.
This started three days ago, a random thought of a rat appearing in my toilet popped into my head. I tried to ignore it. When I went to go for a poo shortly after the thought would not leave my head, I kept having a vision of a rats tail or head poking out from the bottom of the toilet where it connects to the pipes. I did manage to go, but not comfortably and feeling a little constipated.
I then saw a video on YouTube of a sewer snake crawling up the toilet then being flushed back down. Immediately I started to panic with the same thought if my head of seeing a snakes face at the bottom. I ignored the thought all day but when I sat down to go I was really panicky and nervous and kept checking to see if it was there almost of every minute.
What hasn't helped is that I have just been getting over severe constipation and I'm on high doses of Movicol now this has kicked in and is starting to make my life a misery. I just want it to go away, I know I sound like a complete freak/nutter.
I live in the UK and I've looked up online and it's very rare for a snake the even come up from the toilet, if one is found in there then it has crawled in. Ah, I just want it to stop lol. Help please?
