your project will no where near 8k when you start removing walls and making larger door ways and adding windows this is some internal workand it adds up if you went inexpensive everywhere yeah 15 k maybe but once you splurge it goes up If i wanted to do this you may be in the 20k range..

I just had my kitchen redone. I have 14 feet-upper and lower, in cabinets. I got real oak fronts and veneer inside. I put in a 10 foot granite countertop-black w/gold speckles. New kitchen sink and new tile floor. Cost: About $8,000.



My kitchen is about 20ft x 8ft x 10ft ABOUT and i have cabinets and a counter that are pretty close together and in my dining room (next to my kitchen) I have a brick stove floor (only part of the floor is bricks) and have a closet about 7ft x 8ft x 3ft and want to take away that closet and take down the wall so my kitchen can have more room. I also wanted to take away the bricks. Add a sliding door instead of my normal back yard door, and add a few windows in my dining room. I also wanted to take down the other wall separating my kitchen and dining room. and maybe add an island and new cabinets.
