Ant bait comes in little plastic disks deals, in liquid form and gel.
Some ants like sugar and a sugar based bait is needed and some like protein and a protein bait is needed. The kind of bait the bait is written on the packages. The ants eat the bait and take it to their nest wherever it may be and the nest of ants will be gone in a day or 2.
If you're not into slaughtering ants (or aunts), you can mix a few drops of peppermint oil (sometimes called mint oil) in a cup of water and put it in a spray bottle. Spray anywhere they might be entering once a week. Ants really hate peppermint. (Aunts, however love peppermint!)

Aunt killer lol...I love my aunt
I've been in my house for 14 years and never had an issue with ants until a few months ago. I get ants on the kitchen counters and on food. When I started getting them I kept countertops clean and for the most part kept food contained (without being a super freak) It seemed to work or at least control them a little but never completely got rid of them.
I had came home recently with some take home pizza and jumped in the shower. By the time I got out there were already several ants in the box. This is when I realized no matter how clean my kitchen is there will always be the presence of ants.
I have also notice several ant hills in my yard in which I had never had before.
So I figured theses ant hills are the source of my problem.
What is the best way or product to get rid of the ant hills?
