Hills/ Bumps in hardwood floors.?

I would get the place checked for water leaks you may have one somewhere. It could be the roof or down a wall, but only two things will buck that floor too tight install, leaving no expansion room.Or a water leak.

wood expands and contracts with changes in humidity

has it been more humid there now than before?

they (whoever put the floors in) probably didn't leave the necessary gap at the walls to allow for expansion so the only place left for it to go is up

Hello,

This week I just noticed that the flooring in my kitchen has a small hump in them. I just recently purchased this 3rd floor condo conversion, at the time of purchase there were no humps, last month no humps, I def would have noticed this, as there is no furniture in the kitchen. I searched the web and most say it could be water. I have not used any water on the floors, I only dust mop them. Today I inspected the entire condo and noticed there is a hump in the doorway of 2 bedrooms and also a hump in the floor of the master bedroom. When I walk over the humps they" feel" different. I don't know of any water leaks, the master bedroom is in the front of the unit and the kitchen is in the back. I'm really freaking out!!

What would be the cause of this??

Help please & thank you.
