I'm 21 and I have a twin bed.
There's not a damned way you'd fit a full-size bed into my current living situation comfortably.
You could, but it'd make my room completely unwalkable.
Chances are, the ONLY reason they have larger beds is because their parents said "FCK YOUUUUU" to the old bed and decided to just give the old one to their kids.
edit: I used to have a full or queen bed when I was living at my parents, but it doesn't fit into my dorm-esque situation of where I'm living now. (basically almost everything is in my room, aside from what needs to be refrigerated. food, my clothes, a desk, tv, and some other things I use.)
A twin bed is fine for anyone at any age.It is not weird.
Your bedding and decor will depermine how matures your room looks.

A twin works for your space. Roll a blanket up as a bolster, filling the space between the wall and the bed....line pillows along the wall of that, making it appear a couch. A little round coffee table in front of it, with a little fluffy rug under the coffee table. A cute little vase of roses in the middle of it. A pretty old fashion quilt for the bed, with white sheets and plenty of bed pillows to make a good back, and one to sleep on in solid different colors of the quilt. If you can make room for your dresser in your closet, do so. Then, you can make a little dressing area, with a chair, mirror on the wall, at sitting down ht. and a little side table for a lamp, and black hat boxes for your accessories. A nice lacy material covering the table. A country loft look, and bedroom.
Ok so I know I probably shouldn't care but all my other friends have full or queen beds in their room and it makes it look more mature and decorative and I used to have one but the bedroom I have now is shaped wierd and I can pretty much only fit a twin and plus everyone days I could get a bigger one up my stairs anyways. Should I feel weird? I kind feel like a little kid with a twin bed which is why I'm trying to dress it up pretty and girly but mature as if it were a full sized when I start to decorate my room? And advice or suggestions on how to make twin bed look less kid like? Do you have a twin bed? Help. Thankkk youuu! :)
